The Serang's Brother Trip to Bakun Dam

Last Friday 17.1.2014 we are off to Bakun Dam, this was another great trip to Bakun, even only 5 of us from Bintulu to Bakun. Then, our new join family in my previous post Mr. Simon is waiting for us at the Bakun Dam and he will guide us to the place that usually people go fishing. There a lot of adventuring activity we can do here at Bakun. Lets start the Journey to another good place you must visit when go to Borneo (Bintulu City).

We depart from Bintulu town on 17.1.2014 at 08:15 pm and arrive at the Bakun Dam around 10:30 pm.   After a tiring through rough road condition from Bintulu town to Bakun Dam, we having a good rest at our floating tent/house waiting for tomorrow morning for our plan trip to Lahanan River.

Early morning on 18.1.2014, i woke up and taking this photo of our floating tent/house. This floating tent/house we called it "Orchid Chalet"... hahaha..... why? It's because of there are many wild orchid Mr.Simon (owner of the floating tent/house) hanging all around the tent/house. Even this tent/house seem like too small, actually it quite big and enough for 10 - 20 people to stay. Hehe....

This is another part of the floating house/tent which this area is just special place for generator and cooking area. 

I was preparing the fishing rod. While my uncle (Mr.Kuntai) busy planning the journey.

While waiting for our breakfast getting ready, so all of the crew The Serang's Brothers is discussing about the plan of our journey this time.

 Ready to take off and begin our trip.

We are ready to depart from our floating house/tent to our target place "Lahanan River". We using to two boat as we are divided into two group.

The hunting dog are well manage and well take care of the owner, because they are really important for the local people. This hunting dog is one of their family, where the hunting dog helping them to get their food by hunting together with the owner. And according to Mr. Simon, not all dog can be a hunting dog. For the local people of Dayak, hunting using dog is called "Ngasu". 

Mr.Simon only bring this three Troops, black colour "Buang", white colour "Pulau" and the brown colour is the leader called "Langsat". This is quite interesting and to having myself a chance to see's the power of hunting dog to smells the wild animal especially wild boar just from the boat, very impressing!!

 My brother & Mr.Simon, sleeping after long trip and hunting. Only God know how loud their snoring!...ahaha 

After have enough resting, we have to get to another group, where we plan to meet at the "lahana" water fall.

The water from the waterfall is really cold!! It's really refreshing!! Super Cold!!....... Anybody come here surely not going to miss to take a bath here.

They also seem quite tired after setting the netting at the nearby river. So at the afternoon everybody is take a rest, waiting for the evening activity....FISHING!...hahaha...

Quite busy, didnt really have time to take photo, with dirty and smelly hand because of the fishing bait!! ahah

Uncle Pilet is quite strict when he arranging the fish into the ice box, to make sure the fish is still fresh when going back to Bintulu. 

Our transit place...hehe..borrow from other local people. 

All the photo was taken using my phone, and the problem here is when we are didnt have any powerbank or electricity supply. My phone is battery is low. 

 Back to our floating house/tent. Me and uncle are ready to take lunch. 

No other photo was taking because of my phone are run out of battery....lol.... anyway, we arrived at our own floating house/tent quite late, and preparing all food for our lunch. Taking our lunch around 2 o'clock. Everybody was hungry.!! haha...

Again....he is not ready when the photo was taken just now.. asking to take another photo.....haha

During lunch time, everybody busy taking lunch, and no time for taking the photo...plus myphone is still charging.....

So, here we are, at the Baku Dam loading area. ready to off back to Bintulu.

This Pelanduk was taken during his previous trip to Murum river. This pelanduk was seem's helpless at the middle of the river and he caught it with bare hand... so he plan to take it to home as it seem really weak..... Here my first to see alive wild deer...Well.... i mean alive.....hahaha.... 

"Anyway...there a lot of other trip that i've been go to the Bakun Dam area, if have time....i will share another story and journey to Bakun........ "
